Hi Keri (you beautiful pregnant thing!),

I love your program.
What I like most, is that you cover so many of the important aspects of health. It isn't just about food, it's about life.

The program is a fantastic tool because it brings together so much information which I'm drawn to from lots of different sources and you have it under one concept.

I know now that until I make a commitment I can never achieve, and your program walks through this concept step by step.

This has just happened with eating the right things, being intentional about fitness, drinking water and doing what I love.

I feel happier, healthier, less stressed and look better than I ever have.

Thanks so much for enriching my life.

Have Fun, Lose Weight
Wednesday, April 01, 2009 - keri norley

Are you struggling to lose weight?  Have you tried lots of diets, only to find they don’t work for you?

I work with many women who have struggled in the past to lose weight.  The underlying issue for many of them is that they simply don’t enjoy it.

Discover Ways to Have Fun and Lose Weight!

Think of something you absolutely love to do.

For me, I love being with friends and family.  It would take a lot for me to cancel an appointment that I have with them.

When you think of that thing you love to do, do you feel the same way?  Wouldn’t it be hard to drag yourself away from it?

That’s the way I would like to see you look at exercise and weight loss.

When I used to exercise to lose weight, I did it because I had to.  Now, I was smart and married a personal trainer.  He trains me frequently and it’s quite funny to watch the journey of my training with him.

When he had me doing things I didn’t like doing, like running sprints and up and down stairs, it was a drag for me.  Which of course made it harder on him in order to motivate me to get through the session and even to show up.

Once we started to find things that challenge me and that I love doing, we both love my training sessions.  The important think to note here… is that I LOVE doing my exercise!

Up until recently, when I became pregnant, I realized how much I LOVE lifting heavy weights.  I absolutely love the challenge of it, the soreness I feel and the amazing muscles I build because of it.  My body reacts really well to it.

For a bit of fun, go to YouTube and type in “car lifting wife” and you will see me lifting an actual car.  I am not kidding when I say heavy weights!  And ladies… it’s possible for you to do this too!  I could barely do a squat with no weights only a few years ago.

Here’s a little secret…

The more muscle you build, the more weight you lose!  Many people make a very common mistake when wanting to lose weight and think they should do lots of cardio workouts.  Although that can be a part of your routine, building muscle is the key!

The more muscle.. the higher your metabolism… the more fat you burn while laying on the couch!  Get it?!

Anyway… enough giving away my secrets!

Start thinking about the things that you love to do… Do you love to dance? Hang out with friends? Be outdoors? Play team sports?  What is it for you?

I said to you before that I LOVE being with friends.  That is definitely one of my tactics in working out. I do it with other people.  I find it so much more fun AND we challenge each other because we can compete against the other.

I go for walks with girlfriends, instead of sitting down at a coffee shop.  My husband trains me so that I have his company.  I also love joining into his group sessions.  There is a handful of people sweating, working hard and laughing all at the same time.  It makes exercise fun!

Look for ways you can do what you love.  If you like being in groups, there are plenty of places to go for group training these days.  Look for classes in your local community for dance, yoga, whatever it is for you.

I personally look forward to getting into the pole dancing explosion going on at the moment.  What a workout and how much fun!

As far as eating is concerned… Moderation is KEY!

I personally dropped down to a size 8 a couple of years ago and made a decision that it was not the right place for me to be, because in order for me to stay that small, my life was dominated by working out and eating so healthy that it hindered going out with friends and family.

I am truly happy at my size 10, (before getting pregnant) and eating more of the foods that I love in moderation and being able to have a social life.  Think about this when setting your goals.

People tend to get so wrapped up in all the things that they can’t eat and feel so bogged down, that eating actually becomes a drag.  The thing that I love most about our program is that we teach you how to enjoy food!

We LOVE TO EAT!  I eat foods loaded with nutrients including good fats - they are so tasty!  When you start to eat a balanced diet that is right for your body type, you will stop craving the junk that you THINK you want.  It actually starts to taste icky.

Ultimately fresh foods are filled with wonderful vitamins and minerals that your body loves.  Many times what happens when you eat a diet with lots of processed foods that have little to no nutritional value and are loaded with sugar is that your body wants to keep eating.  Not because it’s hungry, but because you haven’t fed it anything nutritional to keep it functioning.  It’s hoping that if you keep eating, eventually it will get what it needs!

I truly wish that the massive companies in this world didn’t have such great marketing.  Because if they didn’t you would realize that most of what they get you to believe is a LIE!  Because of that lie, you have probably become addicted to foods that they say are good for you, but really… They just want you to buy their product!

Again, when you realize that you can LOVE what you eat by learning what’s right for you to eat for YOUR body, then it will be easy for you to eat healthy foods.

When you decide to have fun and do what’s right for you, then we are excited and happy to show you “what is healthy”.  When my clients tell me that they have a healthy diet, I always ask the question, “What is healthy for you?”  I get a different answer every time and frequently not what I consider healthy at all!

Healthy is different for everybody.  Isn’t it time you find out what is really healthy for you?  Do you want to start enjoying the process of losing weight and fitting into that hot sexy outfit that you always wanted to wear?

If you are ready to LOVE the journey and have fun losing weight, then you must pick up the phone now and call 02 8006 1256 or email us at info@evolveyourhelath.com.  We LOVE helping you achieve your goals as much as you will LOVE the end result!

How to do a pushup
Monday, March 16, 2009 - hugh norley

Flabby arms are one of the biggest complaints we see in people wanting to lose weight. As with any toning work, it is a case of shedding a little bit of the overlying insulation and building some muscle underneath to show off. Push-ups provide a wonderful way to do build muscle definition and lose weight.

As a bonus... they help to give as much "lift" to your neckline as chest muscles can offer, so start doing your push-ups today.

How To Do A Push-Up

1.How to do a pushup 2.How to do a pushup 2
  • Start with your hands slightly wider than shoulder width apart on the floor. Have your knees on a soft mat comfortably behind them.
  • Keep your spine neutral (including your head). If you find that your back or head 'sags' from neutral, your core may need a little more training, before you get to this level. If this is you, practice this exercise by standing and pressing off a wall until you are strong enough to carry out this exercise correctly.
  • Breathe in as you lower yourself down. Keep your shoulders squeezed toward your feet. throughout the movement. At the lowest point your elbows should be no lower than your shoulders. Your upper arms should be about 45 degrees away from your body
  • Then exhale as you press your elbows back to the straight position.
  • Repeat the desired number of times (only do as many as good form will permit)
  • If you do manage to break one of these records, then be sure to video it and let us know. Check out the records page for more details.
If you found this page helpful, be sure to let us know. We'd also love to know what other exercises you would like to learn about, so email us at info@evolveyourhealth.com.

How to do a chinup
Monday, March 16, 2009 - hugh norley

How to do a chinup

Chinup - Start PositionChinup - Finish Position

  • Elite RingsStart by gripping a set of rings (these are the safest way to do chinups - they allow your arms to rotate  through a natural motion), alternately you can use a bar. These should be overhead and your hands should be about shoulder width apart.
  • Breath out and squeeze your shoulder blades together and down your back. This sets the shoulders in place. When your entire bodyweight is hanging from them, it is best to have muscles supporting the shoulder joint rather than just the ligaments.
  • Breathe in as you pull your chest toward your hands and your elbows toward your feet.
***this pattern of breathing promotes proper physiological patterning***
  • As you reach the top of the movement, twist your forearms so that your palms face toward yourself (rings only).
  • Breathe out as you return to the start position. Do the movement at a comfortable breathing pace.
  • Do as many as you can in a row.
  • If you do manage to break one of these records, then be sure to video it and let us know. Check out the records page for more details.
If you found this page helpful, be sure to let us know. We'd also love to know what other exercises you would like to learn about, so email us at info@evolveyourhealth.com.

Squat for tight thighs and buns!
Monday, March 16, 2009 - hugh norley

If you are ready for some tight thighs and and buns for your brand new bikini body, then start squatting today. Squats are one of the best exercises for burning body fat.

Tight Thighs and Buns and

Burn Calories While You Sit On Them?

Why? Because your thighs are one of the biggest muscle groups in your body. When you squat, you get that muscle working and that helps to burn the Christmas pudding.

Simply put... The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism gets and the more fat you burn sitting on your bottom!  You want to build your big muscle groups by doing things like squats.

How to do a body-weight squat

  • Start standing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. The wider your feet are apart, the easier it will be to balance when you do a nice deep squat. Have your feet turned out slightly - just enough so that it's comfortable. Keep your weight balanced evenly between each foot and in the middle of your foot (not too far forward, not too far back).
  • Take a breath out and lower yourself as far down as you can go.
  • Now breath in as you stand back up again.
  • Do the movement at a comfortable breathing pace. It won't take too long before you get a nice burn going in your thighs. Do as many as you can in a row.
  • You'll notice that the record for this exercise is several hundred. As with every exercise, when you first start out, there is no need to break the record, unless, of course you don't want to walk tomorrow.
  • If you do manage to break one of these records, then be sure to video it and let us know. Check out the records page for more details.
If you found this page helpful, be sure to let us know. We'd also love to know what other exercises you would like to learn about, so email us at info@evolveyourhealth.com.

The Biggest Weight Loss Mistakes
Monday, March 02, 2009 - keri norley

So, you woke up and looked at yourself in the mirror and thought to yourself… that’s it.  I have had enough!  I am going to lose weight.

Or was it that you went to put your pants on today and you struggled to zip them up? Did you have to pull the trick where you lay down on your bed so that you are flatter to get them to zip up?

Whatever the case… here you are on your journey to losing weight.  How many times have you done this before?

The Biggest Mistake Women Make When Losing Weight is…

You decide to lose weight and go on some crash diet… Have you tried the pills and gotten the jitters yet?  What about the frozen meals?  Have you counted your points with weight watchers?  Or maybe you ate all protein with the Atkins diet.  You may have even succeeded with some of them, obviously only to put the weight back on or you wouldn’t be here.

Would You Like to Finally Break Out Of The YO-YO Diet?

Have you finally had enough?  Or is this just like every other time, where you start to make some progress and go right back to your old habits as soon as you lose the weight.

It’s like this… Eat, eat, eat… Not enough exercise… Look in the mirror, think to yourself “OH NO!  I have done it again! When did it happen?  When did I put all the weight back on?  It just appeared out of nowhere and now my clothes don’t fit anymore!  It couldn’t be my fault…  I still eat SOME of the things I’m supposed to.  Oh yeah… and I’m still walking ONCE a week.  I swear it’s my metabolism.  I have this thyroid problem and it’s this genetic thing… Or I just got so busy and I don’t have the time.”

What is your excuse?

Don’t worry!  There is an answer!

I am a coach specializing in weight loss for women.  I am always amazed at the amount of excuses that people can come up with as to why they can’t lose weight.

Stop lying to yourself.

The BIGGEST MISTAKE that you make in losing weight is to not COMMIT to your goal.

So something today triggered you to come and find this article and because you have that must mean that you are on another journey to losing weight.

Are you 100% committed?

PROVE IT TO ME!

If you are 100% committed to achieving your IDEAL body, then you will do whatever it takes to get there.  Right?  Because you deserve it, don’t you?

It’s about time that you put yourself first and take care of you!  You have waited long enough!

So what do you have to do to take the next step in your journey towards your ideal you?

Do you have to look for yet another diet?  You may succeed over the short term, but what happens when you stop doing all the tedious tasks they have you doing? Did you put the weight back on?  Isn’t it time to face the facts and do something about your lifestyle?

If you choose to FINALLY recognize that it’s time to make a few adjustments to your life so that you can maintain your health and weight loss, then you are exactly in the right place.

At Evolve Your Health, our passion is to help you get your ideal body!  We help you breakthrough all the chatter in your head that keeps you from doing what you want.

You know when it starts to tell you “that one square of chocolate won’t hurt”, and then 250 grams of chocolate later you’re done (and sick).  OR… I REALLY don’t have time to workout today.  I have to pick up the kids, get the food, work for 6 hours on the accounting, help the kids with their school work, clean the house etc, etc… Oh yeah.. and doesn’t housework count as exercise?

We also teach you ways to eat food that you love in proportions that are good for YOU so that you can maintain your weight loss for a LIFETIME!  Isn’t that what you really want?

I have tried many of the diets out there, did the yo-yo thing and FINALLY found something that works for me.  I can easily maintain this lifestyle and it doesn’t interfere with my daily life by taking up any extra time… I know I am onto something and I am VERY EXCITED!

So, back to getting committed…

I don’t work with anyone who doesn’t write 3 pages of how their life will be once they have lost the weight.  They must also tell their family and friends that this is their commitment.  A very important part of that is setting boundaries, especially with the family so that you have their support.  (I will write more about that in another article, so stay posted for that).

If there are certain foods in your house that you know are your “binge” foods or you just don’t ever want to stay away from them, GET RID OF THEM!

You absolutely MUST pick a form of exercise that you LOVE!  This is MASSIVE!  When you love exercising, you will MAKE TIME TO DO IT.  So if you want to dance, go sign up for dance lessons, if you want to go to the gym, go get your membership.

Stop sitting on the couch and making excuses as to why you are getting fatter!

Start making up reasons to get thinner!

When you realize now that there are amazing strategies that you can put into place to help you succeed in losing weight and keeping it off, there is nothing else to do, but to call me now so that you can create your ideal body and keep it looking that way!

We will get your mind in the right place so that it supports you AND we will teach you health strategies to implement into your lives that you can easily do everyday!

The time is now!  Are you committed?  If so… then pick up the phone now and call 02 8006 1256 for your FREE 15 minute consultation.

Water
Monday, March 02, 2009 - keri norley

Our question for you... Are you drinking enough water to replenish your body's supply in order to keep you healthy?

Did you know that the average adult body is made up of about 70% water?

This piece of information is so important to your livelihood.  We are sure you have heard this many times before.  So we ask you when are you going to stop drinking everything that steals nutrients from your body and give your body what it needs?

In Masaru Emoto's book The Hidden Messages in Water, he states that "we start out life being 99 percent water, as fetuses.  When we are born, we are 90 percent water, and by the time we reach adulthood we are down to 70 percent.  If we die of old age, we will probably be about 50 percent water.  In other words, throughout our lives we exist mostly as water."

What does this mean for you?

In order to live a happy, healthy life you MUST drink water

How much?
There is a simple way to figure out how much water is right for you.  Take your weight (in kgs), divide it by 30 and that is how many liters of water you should drink.
Example:  A woman who is 60kgs divided by 30 equals 2 liters of water a day.

Remember that is the least amount of water you should drink.  If you are at the gym, drink a liter of water for your workout, on top of the 2 liters you are drinking.  The same if it is a hot, summer day and you are sweating a lot, drink more water.

Where should you get your water from?

PLEASE drink FILTERED water!  There are so many different filtering systems out there and depending on your situation there is one that is right for you.  You can get something as simple as a Brita which won't cost that much all the way up to high end reverse osmosis water filters that pump water throughout your house.  It depends on how much money you have to spend and where you are living.

In doing more research on water, I found a site called http://www.waterfiltercomparisons.com.au  It has even more details on the importance of water, bottled water vs, filtered water, fluoride in water and more.  It also does a comparison of many of the major water filters on the market today.  It will then give you where you can find them to buy them.  Check it out!

As a note about bottled water... At the moment there are no regulations on bottled water, so many bottles of water are not much different than drinking water out of your tap.  You just get the pleasure of paying a lot more for packaging and marketing. If you buy a filter, it's a much cheaper, healthier option for you in the long run.

One more thing to think about with water.  In order to be healthy, water must flow.  When it lays stagnant in your body, you have a greater chance of becoming sick.  Water in a river remains pure because it is moving.  It is the same thing with our bodies.  In order to keep it moving, we must move!   Also, when you drink more water, you create a flow of water in your body.  You flush out the old with the new.

Water is such a crucial part of our lives.  When you start drinking more water now, you will most likely notice that you will increase your memory, flexibility, and focus.  You will decrease your appetite and joint pain.  You will even decrease the rate at which you may shrink as you get older.  (Without water in the body, there is not enough fluid in the joints to keep them separated and so you start to shrink!)  This is only the beginning of the wonderful reasons to drink water!

Go right now and have a wonderful glass of water and enjoy the crisp, refreshing feel as it goes down your throat, quenches your thirst and feeds your body with exactly what it needs!

The Secret To Waking Up Happy
Monday, March 02, 2009 - keri norley

I woke up this morning feeling so amazingly happy for no reason.  AND, I had actually tossed and turned in my sleep for most of the night, which is frequently the case these days, as I am pregnant.

In any case… I woke up glowingly, ecstatic.  I eagerly went to my computer to find the good news sitting in my inbox that I had received a mentorship with an amazing copywriter that I am very excited to be working with.

The email wasn’t there…  After days of waiting in gruelling anticipation to hear the choice that he makes, I knew it would be at least one more day to learn what I already know in my heart.  I then carried on with my day with massive smiles on my face and a huge grin in my heart.

Have you ever had days that no matter what happened, nothing could bring you down?  For no particular reason at all...

Discover The Secret to Waking Up Happy!

Do want to know the secret to having these kind of days frequently happen in your life?

Years ago I took a course in which I studied the mindset of Billionaires.  In the course, one of the most crucial pieces I took away from it, was that every single one of them lives in the “attitude of gratitude”.

I thought I knew what it was like to be grateful.  I thought that I already held that belief.  Little did I know that gratitude could go so much deeper than many people allow it to.

I chose right then and there to take on the “attitude of gratitude” and my life has never been the same since.

I watch so many people walk down the street with frowns and heads down.  As a coach, I listen to my clients be sad and mopey and miserable over little things.  When I look around I just see so much unhappiness these days.

When I walk down the street, I usually smile as I walk by people and give friendly waves.  Everywhere I go I can see beauty in the area, in the person, in whatever.  It is so easy to find the things that are good.  It is so easy to be grateful.

Some days, I feel like my heart may explode with the feeling of gratitude that I have for everything that I have in my life.

Please bear in mind… I don’t have a lavish lifestyle.  I live in a small unit with my husband and we have two cars that are starting to fall apart.  We rarely go out for nice meals together, and usually cook delicious foods at home.  When we go for little holidays, we frequently camp or manage to find cheap accommodation.  We truly live quite a “basic” life as far as Western culture is concerned.

With all that being said… I LOVE MY LIFE!  Do I want more? Heck Yeah!  Am I constantly striving to improve myself and my business so that I can take my lifestyle to the next level?  YES!

The key is to be grateful!

Only a few years ago, just before doing the course on billionaires, we had weeks that we weren’t sure how we would pay the rent.  I looked back at our finances then, and wonder how we even ate the wholesome food that we did.  I guess somehow we managed.

Since taking on the attitude of gratitude, I have grown my business from no coaching clients to working with an average of 34 people per month!  Most coaches would dream of having that many clients.  I have incredibly beautiful relationships with my family and friends and truly I wake up most days incredibly happy.

I sit outside on my balcony, eating breakfast looking at my glimpse of the ocean, and thinking how grateful I am for the life that I have.

The more gratitude that I truly embrace and the more that my heart pours out the joy and happiness and gratitude that I feel, the more that I receive.  I receive clients, money, friends, amazing business contacts, etc.  It’s like a plentiful, flowing tap that I have turned on.  Generally speaking, if I ask, I shall receive.

The more gratitude that I embrace, the more that I receive!

I don’t know if you believe in God or the universe or something bigger than yourself.  Whatever you want to call it or however you look at it… I believe that the universe rewards you for being grateful for what you already have.  AND… it won’t give you what you aren’t ready for!

If you don’t even appreciate what you have got, why would it give you more?  If you don’t manage your money, why would you get more?  It will just be wasted, because you don’t know what to do with it.

If you don’t respect your relationships with those around you… why would it give you more people to deal with and not appreciate?

If you want to have more, appreciate what you already have!

You know how partners, friends or family can have really annoying traits, that no matter what you do, they keep doing that same annoying thing.  Be grateful for those little annoying things.

My husband leaves his pear cores and other scraps out on the kitchen counter.  Instead of getting mad and annoyed… I now giggle and laugh.  It’s a habit that he has that is just a part of him.  I am so grateful to have him in my life. and that is part of who he is… so I embrace that too.  Give it a go and see what a difference that alone makes in your relationships.

Start looking all around you and all the wonderful things in your life.  Focus on what is great and you will create even more greatness!

Be like the billionaire and live in the “attitude of gratitude”!

If you are interested in learning more about how to make your dreams come true, then please give us a call at 02 8006 1256 or email us at info@evolveyourhealth.com.  Making your dreams come true is our passion!

Talking Poo
Monday, March 02, 2009 - keri norley

So you have just woken up and gone to the toilet to take care of business.  When you turn around and flush, do you look at the poo that you have just produced?

Most people that I have asked this question to eventually say, “Yes!”

I’m sure that you have noticed by now that some days it’s a bit mushier, some more solid, some even have chunks in it.

What does all that mean?

Did You Know Your Poo Is Talking To You?

Have you ever put any thought into the fact that your poo could actually be telling you something about the state of your body?

Poo deserves the respect that society has failed to give it.  The size, shape, smell, and colour are all a window into the inner workings of your body.

It’s time to put on your laughing caps because we are going on a journey to the dark side of poo!  This is sure to get you thinking about what you put into your body and have you laughing at the same time.

Here are 8 Types of Poo You are Sure to Have Experienced at Some Time in Your Life and the Reasons that You Have Them.

Deja Poo

Ever looked into the toilet to see the food you just ate come out in the same form it went in?

This is often the case with insoluble fibre's such as corn. Your body lacks certain enzymes that break down some components of plant cell walls.  Consequently, you have the pleasure of seeing it again on the way out!

Monster Poo

You have worked hard to get this one out and you turn around to see this trophy and wonder how such an immense sized poo managed its way out of your body.  You bask in the glory of the poo and as you flush, hope it will make it down the toilet.

The reason for this poo is likely due to what you ate and drank the night before.  Imagine putting oats into water and letting them soak overnight and seeing how much bigger they are by the water that they absorbed.  It’s quite similar in your belly.  If you eat a lot of fibre and water, it will tend to expand in your belly creating a bulging poo for the morning after.

Floaters Vs. Sinkers

It can be so embarrassing when you are at a friend’s place or a public toilet and you turn around to see your poo floating.  You flush the toilet and it doesn’t go down.  You think to yourself, “Oh No! Please go down!”  You flush again and start to run out of water and flushes.  Luckily this time it goes down.  Don’t you hate it when it doesn’t and you leave it floating there for the next person to find?

Why does that happen?  It’s most likely due to gas and fat in your diet.  You may have noticed at the same time that you are also farting a bit more than usual.  Next time you go to eat the 3rd burger from McDonald’s you may want to think again!

A little something you can try if this does happen to you… Put extra water in the toilet.  This should give it a bit more force to flush the floater down.

Soft Serve

Not quite as liquidy as diarrhea, you turn around happy to see that there is actually some solid matter in the toilet, possibly looking like a soft serve ice cream.

If this is short lived, it is most likely due to a poor digestion of food.  If the problem persists, it may be due to lactose or gluten intolerance.  Please consult with a doctor for appropriate tests to be done to diagnose this.

Beer Bog

Need we say more? If you have had a big night out and have woken up with a hangover, this is most likely the result of your drinking.  It will often be semi-solid, have stomach pains as you pass it and will have the smell of the bar that you left at 4am.

This occurs because your body wants to eliminate the toxins quickly.  The process of creating the poo is sped up and not all the liquid is absorbed, resulting in runny poos.

Pebble Poo

These are frustrating.  You have just sat down and worked to get out your poo only to see little pebbles in the toilet when you have finished.  It is so anti-climatic.

The very simple solution to this is to eat more fibre.  The lack of fibre in your diet is allowing for a lack of production of a sticky substance that holds your poo together.

Log Jam

Otherwise known as constipation.  You sit on the toilet with pains in your stomach and gas and a desire to poo, but nothing comes out!  How unrewarding and unpleasant.

Up your intake of water and fibre.  If this persists, you may need to get a colonic to flush out your system and unblock what you have been building up.  Look for a well-trained practitioner in your local area.  And check out my article on cleansing if you want more information about colonics.

Ring Of Fire

As you sit down to have your comfortable poo, you are unpleasantly surprised by a burning sensation that makes you think your bum is on fire.

The likely cause for this is chilli or other spicy foods.  Think about it, it probably felt the same way going in as it did coming out!

See… Poo can be fun!  My husband and I talk about our poos most days.  (No, I’m not lying!)  We definitely celebrate the majority of the days that we have those perfect poos that come out nice and easy, leave no smell and are clean to wipe.  I love those ones!

We are also aware that if we go a couple days without them, we have to adjust something in our diet.  It’s just that simple.

If you have a desire for perfect poos daily, then it’s time to pick up the phone now and call Evolve Your Health on 02 8006 1256 or email us at info@evolveyourhealth.com.  We will teach you how to eat the right foods for you and create a healthy lifestyle so that you can have more of those perfect poos!

The information in this article is taken from a book called What’s Your Poo Telling You? By Josh Richman and Anish Sheth, MD.  I have left most of the names of the poos in the article the same as the book.  They are just too funny to change!

Take Charge of Your Life
Monday, March 02, 2009 - keri norley

Are you Waking up Every Morning and Creating Results in Your Life…

Or Are You Making Excuses as You Watch Life Pass You By?

Learn How You Can Take Charge Of Your Life Today!

How many times have you decided to lose weight or start to exercise and then start making up excuses as to why you haven’t done it?  It may sound like this; “I was going to workout, but I didn’t have time.”  “I was going to exercise, but I was too tired to get out of bed”…

“Stuff” does happen in this world.  Your resulting behaviour is entirely your choice.

Imagine that you are at cause for everything that happens to you and realize that you control everything that happens in your life.

For example, if time is your excuse for not creating results, think of this.  Everyone has 24 hours in a day.  There are plenty of successful people with great family lives, healthy bodies, and lots of money.  For example, Donald Trump has 24 hours in his day, and he gets results that most of us wouldn’t even dream about.

How do they do it?  They take responsibility for their actions!  Are you using your time the most productively so that you can create the results you want in your life?

I am a health and wellness coach and I work with hundreds of people helping to get them to live their life at cause. For many people this concept is not easy to appreciate and grasp.  I also recognize that this may be pushing against some of your boundaries.  If it is, great!

Get excited because you are about to make a big change.  When you do, your life will never be the same again.

Once you start living at cause and taking ownership of EVERYTHING that happens in your life, you have the ability to control and change everything in your life.  If you are pointing the finger at anyone but yourself (being at effect), you have reasons and excuses as to why things aren't happening for you.

“Whenever you point your finger, there are always three pointing back” Chris Howard

It may sound like this... “I would have been successful if my partner hadn't done that.” or  “I would have a great relationship if my wife/husband would just...”

To be at cause for your life, you are empowered to produce results.  When you choose to believe that, you can create everything in your life.

When you take out reasons and excuses, all you have left is results.

You then choose to create results.  How would it feel for you to know that you are in control of ALL of your outcomes?

Let’s push a bit further and talk about dis-ease.  It could be anything from a headache or backache all the way to diabetes or cancer.  Do you look at a situation and say “it's not my fault, I had no control over this”.  Or do ask “how did I cause this even at the most unconscious of levels?”  Do you look to find why you brought this into your life?

Personally, whenever something bad happens to me, for instance getting sick, I ask myself “why did this happen?  What did I do to bring this into my life?  What am I supposed to learn from this situation?  What is my body telling me?”

When you get sick, it's your body’s way of telling you that you are not listening to it.  It has probably been giving you signs for a while and finally it has to shout at you to listen.  For some of us who overwork, it may be that the body and mind just needs a rest, so it will get sick because that is the only way to get you to stay at home and rest.  Are you starting to get this?

I just got off the phone with a client who has breast cancer.  When I asked her why she brought it into her life, she firmly answered by saying “It was to make the choice to live.”  She had been debating whether or not she wanted to be here anymore after the death of her father a few years ago. She is now committed to living and is making the most of her life, even with cancer.

This learning is a massive accomplishment and step for her.  She has to go through a huge test of strength to prove to herself that she is truly committed to living her life full out.  She is excited to do it and is embracing the whole journey.

When you point outside yourself and place the blame elsewhere, you lose the power!  Start today to empower yourself to take charge in your life!  If a woman with cancer can do it… Can you?

Can I prove that this is true? No. That being said, this is just a belief that I hold to be true.  The same as the sun coming up in the morning, I believe that I am at cause for everything that happens in my life.  Because I believe it to be true, it is true.

So, from now on, you can choose to believe that at some level you bring everything into your life for a reason, and live an empowered life.  OR you can choose to point the finger elsewhere and never own up to anything and give all your power away. How do you want to live your life?

The choice is up to you.

I once heard a quote from President Teddy Roosevelt that states "I was never a very brave man so I just acted as if I was until I became one."

The same thing holds true here.  If you don't know how to do this, just act as if you do.  Act as if you are at cause for everything in your life and see what happens.  If you truly embrace acting as if, it will eventually become unconscious and you will just be that way.  Your mind doesn't know the difference between acting and reality!  So, have fun acting.

Start to listen to your language, really listen.  See what side of the equation you are on.  Be honest with yourself.  If you are on the effect side, start looking at how you can move yourself over to the cause side and realize that you are in charge of all of your results.  Then go and create the results that you want!

If you find yourself unable to do this on your own and recognize the importance of this, then you MUST pick up the phone and call Evolve Your Health TODAY on 02 8006 1256.  We will help you to create the results that you know you deserve.  How long will you put your dreams on hold?  Pick up the phone and call now.

Mindset of a Champion
Monday, March 02, 2009 - keri norley

Do You Have the Mindset Of A Champion?

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you could taste it?

You could feel it in every cell of your body?

You could see it right in front of you?

You could hear the sounds around you?

And you could hear yourself say, “Congratulations, You did it!”

Having the mindset of a champion means doing whatever it takes to get where you want to go!  When I say whatever, I mean that in the best of ways.  It means that you will do what it takes, assuming it’s safe for you and those around you and you have the best interest of the other people involved at heart.

Being a champion is not stomping on other’s to get where you want to go.  If you do, it’s sure to come back and bite you in the bum some day!

Being a champion means to show up and be a leader.  Lead by example, not by telling people what to do. It means going the extra mile to be your best.

What about having respect for those around you?

Being a champion comes from the heart.  You work, think, act from the heart…

Being a champion takes courage.  My friend just sent an email with this quote in it.

"True courage is the product of tenderness.

It arises when we let the world touch our heart,
our heart that is so beautiful and so bare.

We are ready to open ourselves up, with no resistance or timidity,
and truly face the world.

We are ready to share our heart with others."

Being courageous and opening yourself up to vulnerability can be scary and sometimes, that’s what it takes to be a champion.

To be a champion is “to be”.  To be who you are and to shine.

Champions don’t sit in the corners waiting for their time to come.  Champions stand out and stand up!  They ask for what they want and they go and get it!  Sometimes climbing uphill battles to get there.

Champions are not made in tournaments, they are made in training!  Are you practicing everyday at what you want to be a champion in?  Because at the end… it’s really all about the journey, isn’t it?

If you were given a million dollars, I’m sure it would feel great.  If you had to work for the million dollars and go through the ups and downs of making it… the end result… that glory would feel amazing!  Not just because you had the million dollars, but because of the journey you went on to make it!  You can look back at what you have achieved and feel a sense of accomplishment.

So are you doing whatever it takes to achieve your dreams?  Are you out practicing everyday to make it happen?  Are you on your champion journey?

I have just spent the most incredible week in a writing competition.  Part of the purpose was to get us over our stuff and get us started.  Because isn’t it true, that sometimes the hardest part is just getting started?  We have been practicing writing everyday, by doing it.  AND each day… we are all getting better.

Every person in the competition has been a champion just for standing up and shining.  I am a champion for doing the same, and here I sit, even though the competition is over… still writing and loving it!

I am continuing on my journey as a champion and can feel, see and taste the glory of victory because of it.  It is so sweet because I know I deserve it and that I worked hard for it.  I know I have gone the extra mile and stretched myself.  I know I am a champion.

I just got home from my voice coaching lessons and the same thing happened there.  My instructor wanted me to sing a song, Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.  Is there any woman out there that hasn’t at some point turned Aretha up and belted at the top of your lungs, “You make me feel like a natural woman…”

I know this song. I know I LOVE to sing it.  She asked me to sing it and I froze!  It took me quite a few times of singing it and singing with her and feebly singing it… Practicing over and over again until I could actually belt it out like I was Aretha, except that the song was mine!  OH YEAH... and it felt good!

For me… it took me getting over the first step of just singing the song.  Then, I had to sing with emotion.  After that, every other song she gave me to sing was easy… and one even brought her to tears.

Again… It’s all about practice, getting out of your own way and doing WHATEVER IT TAKES to get what you want.  I want to be exceptional and incredibly confident in front of people.  I want to get on a stage and own it and move people!  I want to move anyone I speak to, whether in person or on paper.  I know that I already do… and with practice, I will do it even better!

In both the writing competition and my singing/voice lessons, I act like I am already a super star champion. I just have to get over the first hurdle and then there is no stopping me!  And once the first hurdle has been jumped, it feels so good!  Flow happens and the fun begins.

Where do you want to be a champion?  Have you stood up and owned it as if you already do?  What are you actually DOING to get there?  Are you taking time to practice your skill?

If you are sitting at the start line and scared to move… then just take a tiny step.  What is the first step you need to take to create the results you are after?

If your mind is getting in your way from being the champion that you know you are… then please call us at 02 8006 1256 or email info@evolveyourhealth.com and we can help you to achieve your dreams.  Dream making is what we do!  Are you ready to make yours come true?  Are you ready to be the champion?

I already am!  Are you coming with me?
